I interned at Hearst magazines last summer. It was a whirlwind of creativity, caffeine, and camaraderie. The coffee machine was my solace. lol
I worked as an intern last summer too. But it sounds like you had ,more fun.
I wasn’t that lucky though. Still Pushing resumes.
You guys sound like had a lot of fun. what was the experience like?
As a data intern, I’ve deciphered spreadsheets like ancient scrolls. It was crazy. Always hitting the coffee machine.
Not what I thought it would be. The experience was less than a year. It was in New York. The ceo approval was still positive though.
Hmm. Thanks for the response. Will try and apply for this. Thanks mod
It’s good news for me! I had an opportunity to intern in the WDSU newsroom. It was an excellent experience—it allowed me to see news gathering from a different perspective. Will do it all over again.
Hearst is a good place. I had a stint there too. Overall great experience! There is a great company culture, but the on-boarding process can be disorganized.
I was a former Hearts senior intern. The internship program lacked structure. While the cafeteria food was great, the work assignments were often unclear. It was like a crazy maze. The wifi was fast though.
Hearst Magazines is a sink-or-swim situation. If you’re not proactive, you’ll drown in ambiguity. But its a place for hands on experience.
