Upon completing high school, students embark on diverse career paths, with many choosing to pursue higher education. However, statistics reveal a racial gap in college enrollment, with Caucasian students comprising the majority at four-year institutions, while Black and Hispanic students tend to enroll more in community colleges.

In an effort to mitigate this disparity, the Ubuntu Scholarship targets minority first-generation college students seeking a bachelor’s degree. Graduates from Thurgood Marshall Academy in Harlem who maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 are encouraged to apply for this scholarship.

To apply, candidates are invited to share their life story and motivations for pursuing higher education.
