About the Role

As a J&J MedTech BPDM intern, you will collaborate with experienced statisticians and data engineers to gain insights into statistical and data science applications within clinical and nonclinical settings in medical devices. You will contribute to projects spanning clinical studies, post-marketing studies, Real World Evidence registry studies, and engage in working groups focusing on Statistical Methodology/Consulting, Machine Learning, RWE/Publication Support, and R, Python, SAS User Groups.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in data preparation and perform graphical exploration of data.
  • Support statistical model building, analysis, and report writing.
  • Develop computer programs or software applications for project requirements.
  • Engage in experimental design and simulation activities.
  • Participate in methodological development and optimization.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Available to work full-time or 20 hours per week for 10-12 weeks from May 2024 to September 2024.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and programming skills.
  • Proficiency in SAS, R, or Python is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills are desirable.
