  1. I’m really excited about the mission-driven opportunities with Demos Helsinki. Their focus on empowering marginalized communities and promoting democratic participation is desperately needed. An internship here could give young professionals invaluable experience turning ideals into actionable initiatives. The project-based model seems like a great way to gain cross-functional skills too. I just hope the organization has the resources and structure to properly mentor interns – nonprofits can sometimes struggle with that. But overall, this seems like an amazing way for socially-conscious students to gain meaningful experience

  2. Wow, this internship opportunity with Demos Helsinki sounds absolutely incredible! As someone deeply passionate about grassroots activism and empowering marginalized communities, I’m seriously considering applying.

  3. The project-based model seems like the perfect way for interns to rapidly build a diverse skill set across areas like community outreach, advocacy, policy analysis, etc. You’d get exposure to the full lifecycle rather than just doing mundane tasks…

  4. I love that Demos works across multiple intersectional issues too – racial justice, gender equality, climate action, you name it. It’s all interconnected when it comes to empowering people and giving voice to the voiceless. Getting training that looks at the intersections and bigger picture is so valuable. Nice one

  5. The 1500€ monthly stipend does seem a bit low. For a 3-month internship, that’s about 4500€. I mean, many companies, especially in tech or finance, offer summer internships with salaries that go way beyond that. It’s just something to consider when looking for an internship, right?

  6. This internship sounds awesome, but yeah, the pay is more “cheap beer” than “craft cocktail.” Still, think of it as an adventure. Three months in Finland with a bunch of do-gooders changing the world, one project at a time? Sign me up! Worst case scenario, you come back with amazing stories, questionable fashion choices from all the thrifting, and a killer Finnish accent (no guarantees on that last one). Just sayin’, there’s more to life than euros (though euros are definitely nice to have…).
